The problem

The model stays in the document.

You know what you want your team to do. You can describe your game model. But on Monday you have 90 minutes, a squad that changes every week and half a pitch, and the model stays in a file you have not opened since pre-season.

The problem is not knowledge. It is method: the distance between the idea and the session, repeated every week, with the players you actually have.

Your coaching licence gave you the laws of the game. This course shows you how to turn your idea into training.
What you will build

One playbook, eight sessions.

Your game model

On one page, with behavioural indicators.

Your training week

A week that works with 5, 3 or 2 sessions.

Three exercises

Exercises that carry your principles, reviewed by your peers.

A competitive week

A full week planned against a real opponent.

Your first 30 days

A plan for a new club, league or country.

Game Model Playbook

Ready to show a club, a director or an employer.

The programme

8 Sessions. From model to match week.

Eight live sessions of two hours, recorded for 90 days. Each session has a framework, a second point of view from the other coach, and a workshop on your own work. Dates will be announced with the opening of registration.

01
What a game model is, and what it is not

A working definition, the four moments of the game, principles and sub-principles. The model as dogma versus a dynamic reference, and a critical look at two real models.

Faculty to be announced
Tool: Game Model Template · worth €40
02
From context to model

How club DNA, players, level and resources shape the model. The same principle in different leagues, a decision framework, and a hot seat on two participants’ models.

Faculty to be announced
Tool: Context Map & Adaptation Guide · worth €40
03
The training week

Specificity, progression of complexity and alternation of loads, with Verheijen, Issurin and Buchheit as references and Seirul·lo and Frade as vocabulary bridges. The same week with 5, 3 and 2 sessions.

Faculty to be announced
Tool: Training Week Template (5, 3 and 2 session versions) · worth €60
04
Exercise design with intent

The variables you control: space, time, players and provocation rules. From what the game asks to what the exercise must contain. An autopsy of three common exercises, then three of your own, peer reviewed.

Faculty to be announced
Tool: Exercise Analysis Sheet and Variables Checklist · worth €40
05
Make it work in real conditions

Two sessions a week, a rotating squad, tournament weekends and a shared pitch. Six anonymised real scenarios: elite academy, high school and college, amateur, and a club abroad.

Faculty to be announced
Tool: Real-Conditions Scenario Cards (6) · worth €50
06
The competitive microcycle

A full week built around a real opponent: analysis, priorities, training. Keeping the model coherent while preparing the match, and managing tactical, physical and emotional load.

Faculty to be announced
Tool: Opponent-Week Planner and Training-to-Match Transfer Sheet · worth €50
07
Coaching across borders

Arriving in a new country, league and dressing room without losing the model. Coaching in another language with a multilingual squad, the first 30 days, and cases from both coaches.

Faculty to be announced

08
Decide like a head coach

Decision-making as the core skill: judging whether training transfers to the match, adjusting the model without destroying it, and a final hot seat on the Game Model Playbooks.

What you leave with

A document, not just a certificate.

You finish with 12 practical tools and the Game Model Playbook: a Sportrail PDF with your model on one page, your training week, three exercises, a week against an opponent and your decision rules. It is the document you show a club, a director or a future employer.

The hot seat. Volunteers hand in their work 48 hours before sessions 2, 5 and 8, and the faculty review two or three live. Everyone learns from each other’s cases; anyone not picked gets the recording.

16h
Live

8 sessions of 2 hours, each with a second point of view from the other coach.

12
Practical tools

From the Coach Context Questionnaire before the course to the Decision Framework in session 8.
